When a Paris-based engineering start-up reached out, they weren’t just looking for a new office—they were looking for a fresh start. The company had outgrown their tired, outdated workspace and needed something that could reflect both their evolving brand and their ambitions for growth.

A smart location move

In Paris, where office space comes at a premium, relocating can quickly turn into a costly and disruptive process. Fortunately, an unexpected opportunity presented itself: a recently refurbished workshop loft, conveniently located on the ground floor of their existing building. This solution allowed us to avoid the heavy costs and logistical challenges of a full-scale move while providing a blank canvas for the new design.

Creating a brand-aligned workplace

With the space secured, I worked swiftly to redesign both the office layout and the company’s visual identity. The new floor plan maximised the natural light and created defined zones for work, meetings, and informal collaboration. At the same time, I developed a fresh colour palette to support the company's marketing and brand personality—modern, dynamic, and inviting.

The Outcome: designing a fresh start on a budget

With a tight furnishing budget, every choice needed to be thoughtful and impactful. Most of the pieces were sourced from IKEA and H&M Home, demonstrating that style and functionality don’t always require a hefty price tag. The result is a bright, modern and cosy workspace where the team feels energised and motivated.

Just one month after signing the lease, the staff stepped into their brand-new office—ready to kick off a new chapter of growth and success.
