Explore the transformation of an 18th-century Provençal farmhouse, beautifully restored and designed to embody the essence of its owners.
When I was invited to bring my touch to this 18th-century Provençal farmhouse, it had already undergone a stunning renovation. The owners had kept the original character—stone walls, exposed beams—while introducing a more industrial edge with sleek windows, steel doors, and concrete floors. What it needed now was a sense of identity, warmth, and connection to the people who would live and host here.
The brief was clear: create a home that reflected the family's international lifestyle and eclectic tastes, while still honouring the farmhouse's Provençal roots; without however falling into stereotyped interiors from Provence!

Living rooms: A blend of influences
In the living rooms, I sought to blend ethnic influences—artefacts and textiles collected in South America, China, and Africa—with the gentle, rustic elegance of the French countryside. The result is a harmonious mix of warm textures, rattan, natural wood, and rich fabrics. You’ll spot carved wooden pieces next to linen sofas, or woven accessories alongside vintage French armchairs. It’s layered, yet effortless—designed to feel collected over time.

Hallway and Kitchen: A joyful tropical feel
The kitchen and hallway were treated to something a little bolder: a joyful blend of tropical and South of France influences. Think whitewashed walls, handmade ceramics, and sudden bursts of bright orange—recalling both juicy citrus and the capucine flowers that bloom nearby.

Double Bedrooms: Local flora-inspired
Each of the five double bedrooms was designed around a colour story inspired by the local flora. There’s orange for capucine, yellow for mimosa, pink for laurel, gentle olive greens, and soft blues for the agapanthus that sway just outside the windows. Materials are natural, understated, and textural—cottons, aged wood, and wrought iron—letting the palette and light do the talking.

A warm and cosy dorm in the old hay barn
And in the old hay barn? We created a playful dormitory with sleeping space for nine, wrapped in warm terracotta tones and designed to welcome grandchildren and friends alike. It’s generous, inviting, and just a little bit magical.
